it's so fast, the Day of Qing Ming is nearer to us~
My family is not Chinese, so we don't have the habit of visiting our forefathers's grave sites during that season. We did visited 'them' during Gawai eve, All Soul's Day and their departure anniversaries.
It's a tradition for people from every tribes and nation to do something to remember their loved ones, who had left them earlier. In Asian cultural, we visit to their graveyard~
I enjoy the moments when i followed the elders to our family cemetary. I went to my grandpa's cemetery quite often, in there, i didn't felt any creepy feelings like what i saw from television~
After some 'gotong-royong membersihkan kawasan perkuburan', we will stand up holding hand in hand and pray for our loved ones, sing a Hymn and of course, we will put some flowers and lid candles! i love the moment when we need to lid candles, espeacially when i am still a kid. We can 'curi-curi' play with fire~
After visiting to cemetary, we will have a family gathering at my grandma's place at Serian! Of course, it will be our MAKAN TIME~ wahaha!
However, the point that we celebrating the feasts and clean-up our ancestors' grave tombs and whatsoever are an act of remembrance them! We need to be gladful and appreciate our parents and friends since they are still alive.
God bless~
