some writings before moving~

Some writings before moving!

5 Alpha of 2008 is so blessed!

Although, we aren't that clever and perfect if compared to the Alphas of previous years in the field of academic results.
But, we satisfied!
There are future teachers, doctors, pharmacist, nurse, accountants, business lady/man, scientists, Quantities surveyor and many ENGINEERS and other professionals~
we have it, in our former 5 alpha!
Yea, we are a part of the nation's pride!
Thanks God for guiding us~
for led us to work in the right paths~
The bitterness and difficulties during our Form 4 and Form 5 were worth!

So worth! it returns us a chance to enter universities , higher instituitions and college,

some of our friends even got scholarships from government as well as private sectors.
our life becomes smoothier! indeed!

Thank God.
The moment that we, Alphans had went through together, really impressed my soul.
I still remembered the time
when we worked so hard for SPM and all kind of tests...
Many pandas were stuyding for the exams, seriously, in the morning.
To the juniors, please keep the spirit and study smart!

Yea, everythings ran smoothly.
I had printed mine and also helped Shyh Ning as well.
I felt so sad and a lilttle bit of miseries,
after knowing that i need to register in that Institution before 13th of July.So rush!
We were needed to prepare everythings in a week time.
It'll including the medical check-up procedures, sending confirmation letters to two departments and doing shopping.
Don't know why, suddenly, i think of my family and friends.
I really going to miss them.
I don't dare to think the feeling of after going back from Church in JB,the moment when i get sick and etc...

Maybe i had many friends and foods here~

I had been posted to enter Institut Perguruan Temenggung Ibrahim, Johor Bahru. My teaching subjects are major in Science, Minor in English and Chinese. Luckily i am not alone, two friends of mine, whom i knew through the interview session also go to the same instituition with me. Phews~ So happy and exciting as well as so sad now... some foods!

No doubt, it is a Pork Chop!
Yea, as a pork lover, i really get attracted by the appearance of this dish...
However, the taste of this plate of food, wasn't that gorgeous~
Trust me!
The chefs were quite stingy, they only gave us a little bit of gravy or sauce, something similar to that.
So, when we ate it, it was tasteless (just tasted salty only!)
I want to complain, the pork will taste better if it was tender...
But the above ones, was like rubber!
Chewing rubber~

It is a cup of very ordinary milk tea!
I ordered it when i had our dinner with friends~
it didn't taste very good, so ordinary!
I dare to say that Tea C Peng in C121 is more delicious than the above ones.
Ehem, it costs RM 4.50, but in C121, it only charged RM 1.70!
By the way, i discovered that, C121 is a very comfortable and suitable place for the youngsters to meet friends or have a chit chat among themself...
Ones can be so free in talking and stay relax in that coffee shop, nobody will notice or bother you~

AS A CUSTOMER, WE NEED TO CHOOSE THE BEST!

where is the power?

Don't know why...
Recently, i felt like so tired and depress~
i searched for the causes of it, but i found no answers!
I don't know whether Form 6 is suitable for me or not, but now i am quite enjoy with it...
I am so bad in making decision! A bad-decision maker...
Thus, i put everything to the ALmighty~
I really hoping that i will walk in the right path, i mean now, i need to get the best decision!

WHERE IS THE POWER FOR ME TO FLY?

some weird things!

He is Andrew Chai, oh, one of my good friend!
Andrew Chai, i know you must be very touch once reading this blog!
you see, i posted your pictures!
Heeheek~
So glad to meet you last week, when you were still in Kuching!
You still the same! Same lame, same actions and same thoughs~
No much difference~ But you are mature than before! So wonderful...
Thanks for 'present' me a slice of pork sausage! Although it didn't tasty, but ok lah, at least it shown that you aren't that stingy~
By the way, please be positive when you are making a decision or when you are facing with a problem! Pray, when it is necessary~

P/S: See you soon! in this coming year-end holiday!

Don't be afraid, she is Bernadine...

I know, she looks like a ghost, but she will probably a good and nice ghost!
Try to imagine a good ghost with a nice heart, but with such terrible features...
Oh, not bad right!? (Ehem~ can you pass me a rubbish bin? i am going to spew soon...)
The girl i had mentioned are going to become a Nurse soon...
She will leave Kuching in the end of this June! She received offer letter from Institut Jantung Negara~ How blessed!
Anyway, remember, you are going to deal with patients with heart problems! Don't suddenly give them your 'HORRIBLE' smiles as well as your 'SWEET' jokes~ they can't stand for it, as they are not Kenny! Later all of them will be sent to ICU, because of overlaugh till heart attack!
*TOUCHWOOD*

p/s: Bernadine, you had frightened me! anyway, a good journey in your nursing carrier!

A nIGHT WITH fRIENDS

Nice and friendly First Aiders! (ehem~)

Bobo, Bernadine (ehem, our future nurse!) and Daphne~

Three besties, Perry, Chin Chin and Doris~

Our new plac efor hang-out, Kado Cafe! I like their Burger!

Lame Boy's team!

All Ladies' team from Gapor's High School...

Doris, Cheng Yang, FM and Andrew, i don't know why they seems so happy!

Momo with Suli, Bobo and Bernadine! at Kado Cafe~

Moses with some of his St John Ambulance Adult Team mate... They seems so excited after finished the CPR test!
Last Saturday, i had a very wonderful night with my friends, all are my old besties~
We had dinner and chat with each other for whole night.
I still remember before we rushed to the Mr Ho Fine Foods Restaurant, at evening, me and fellow St John Ambulance Adult team members were busying with our First Aid test.
Many stupid events happened in St John Headquarters...
Firstly, i got panic when doing CPR, Shyh Ning shouted 1,2,3... quite kloud, so i didn;t know why, my mind suddenly 'black-out'~
Thank God, i managed to perform it later...
Thanks to the officers, as they weren't mean enough.
I noticed that, Gaporians are so special! They love capturing photos...
We took photos, no matter in class (when teachers weren't around), in St John HQ (After we were waiting for the test) and etc...
Anyway, it is a very fun hobby~ no harm!
The test took almost whole daytime, however, thank God that we managed to reach home before 6pm for grooming and so on.
Besides to Mr Ho Fine Food, we also went to Kado Cafe~
Now, we have a new MAKAN place... Kado's burgers were awesome!
The prices are still can be affordable by the students...
According to Bernadine, their fried rice are served in a large amount. Quite worth.
About me and Doris, we, of course had the burgers!
Me, Lamb Burger and Doris was Chicken burger!
I knew, Perry kept in complaining about the 'pearls' in his drink. He said, the pearls in that cafe were small and hard to chew~ But for me, it was still ok...
When i talked about Lamb, i think of Andrew Chai...
He claimed he didn't comsume lamb, as he was born in the Year of Goat!
He strongly believe that as ones were born in the year of goat, they are not suppose to eat the meat s of it...
Does it makes sense, who care! Anyway, that is the funny part of my friend...
Thank you, Perry for sending me home!
I love the moment when friends met together and had a drink, while chatting, we can hear many stories from them
As most of our dear freinds had left Kuching, so, it was a so rare opportunities for us to gather and of course, gossip!
No matter how, i do believe the friendships that happened will not last easily...
GOD had let be be friended each other, thus, i believe that He will bless our friendship!

a night of mix-up feelings!

Tonight, when i went to have supper with my mummy, didi and brother at C121, i saw Bernadine and Evelyn as well as Khoo Boon Yan!
But i didn't donate to them... Ehem... my donation tin also still empty.
They were collecting St John Ambualnce funds. Just like me, last time, with Sukying. It is annual activities. We, St John Ambulance members are so willing to serve the organisation, but nevermind, it is for a mankind beneficial programme.
Then, at midnight i chat with Bobo, in Facebook... we chat alot about our friends and foods
I chat with Tanny from SMK Tun Abdul Razak, a future teacher too~ she is very funny and we chat many nice topics too! She is a night cat, like me! Thanks for accompanying me, Tan Yen Ping.
Oh, mention about Bernadine and Doris, they were MSN, but busying with blogging. LOL.
A sad, relax and a fun night, though~ Thanks Friends!

NIGHT MARES, go away!

some of the friends are going to leave us

It is a very post for the month!
some of my best friends received offer letters to study in other places, most of them will go to West Malaysia.
It will be a very good chance for them to further their studies~ Moreover, it is scholarship!
So, it is a blessing for them and i feel happy for them!
Suli, Eho, Wei Tern, Sebas and Bernadine... Miss all of you! God bless all of you and keep your steps aright!
Then, Sukying, Bobo and Shyh Ning as well as Doris will probably leave us soon! They are our future-teachers! Cool... Miss ya as well.
However, i will feel extremely sad after Bernadine go to West Malaysia. Because i need to walk to school alone, every morning. She had accomapnied me, at least 7 years. A buddy for me!
In class, no fun and laughter anymore! It suppose to be less laughter then! Not too use to it.
But, it is her callings from God. God wants her to be a nice and good nurse, ehem! Not a mean nurse, you are at IJN- Institusi JantuNG Negara, don't give your patients lame jokes or a great shock, ok!
Suli, Wei Tern, Sebas and Eho... Congrates! Suli, u r going to Cyber jaya! So cool! the rest too~ so awesome! Remember to thank God!
Tonight, will be a sad night~
As i think about the realities of 'losting friends'~ somehow, i do believe we will meet each other again, in the coming holiday!

GOD bless our journey to laddle of success!

Love is spoken here

i would like to share a very cute song WITH all of you, entitled, LOVE IS SPOKEN HERE!
The song that you are hearing now in my blogspot will be that song.
The song's lyric is talking about the love and caring that we get from family members.
However, i felt so funny when i listened to that singer's voice... No matter what, the value that i got from the song was so touching!
Just want to share with all of you!

St John Flag Sales

Me, when doing Flag Sales!

This year, as usual, Sukying and I had accompanied each other to collect donation for St.John Ambulance.
We started our ‘charitable journey’ from her house. Initially, we walked from Hui Sing Garden to 3rd miles, and then by bus, we went to Gambier streets. Last station was to Saberkas…
We really took time to loiter around Kuching old town and it was fun, although the weather is hot and ‘spicy’.
Moreover, I dare to say that we spent quite lots of money in foods, Open Air’s Siobee and Pao, 3rd miles Siang Siang Corner’s Iced Cincau C and so on. We did sing Karaoke in 3rd miles too! What the hect, we were selling flags, but we also took the time to have fun. Ehem, we get two benefits in one goal.
No matter what, we did work hard for St John Ambulance, though we were playful at first. We took time to play when we were having our lunch or breaks, while on duty, we really treated it seriously.

When a city boy went back to his ancestor’s place

Fabian is driving? Too young for him to do that crazy stuff! But i will teach him soon...
The old wooden house used to belong to my grandparents, long long times ago!

I was stood near to one of the power house belongs to the village. It was so 'ancient'!

I was on the way to my grandpa's orchard and going to visit the pigs! The weather was so so HOT!

I am indeed a very typical city boy. Let me define the meaning of ‘city boy’!
In my perspective, a city boy will be a youngster who hails from town or city, of course, and he relies too much on modern gadgets as well as surround by many good facilities. Therefore, when that boy leaves his comfort zone or change of his daily routine, he will be very difficult.
Last Gawai Feast, I had returned back to my ancestor’s place, somewhere in Simpang Punda (Serian/Simunjan district border, 1 hour 30 minutes drive journey from Kuching City)… I took the time to re-explore many great things in the village.
Besides of eating, chatting, enjoying and sleeping, I really went into the orchards, bushes and some abandoned places around that village. It was based on my curiosity, I also captured photos!
It was hard to imagine, how can our elders survived in a place without internet connection and shopping centres, for example, Everise or H&L hypermarket. Life must be tough.
However, I know the fellow elders enjoy their life. They yielded many plants and crops, hunted for beasts, fishing and yea, for the Iban ladies, they love making straw mattress. Their life was filled with healthy activities, no lonesome and boredom can occupy their souls. Thus, sickness, go away! For spirituality, they had prayer meetings from time to time, it was strength for the fellow ancestors of mine to face difficulties and gain knowledge through sermons by the Anglican Priests.
Moreover, the villagers used mineral water in their daily routine. The water is directed flows from nearby mountains. It’s free and contained many good minerals. According to the folks, such water is very good to skin if consume it frequently. Mentioned about foods, it’s all about organic. Healthy!
Back to the reality, It was a blessing for me to know more about the basic life style that once practiced by my ancestors. It made me knew more about the roots and cultures of Ibans. Though, it was so tough for me to live there for a longer time, but a short break in village, it was so awesome. I saw swines, many fruit trees, and my grandparent’s old house and so on. Such experience can’t get from internet, and with pride, I went through it.
Eherm, then I realized I am a sakai!

oh wai, bisik dek pulai menuo?

This signboard is standing near my village! It os one of the symbolic icon...

The ladies were preparing foods for Makai Besai~
Oh wai, bisik dek pulai menuo?

Hi there! How are you guys? Before that, I would like to express my gratitude to all my friends who sent me Ari Gawai’s regards. So touched!
Well, let me re-introduce myself!
I am Kenny Moses anak Beruin Benedict, I am an Iban of Kampung Sungai Rawak. My ancestors were from the sub-ethnic of Balau. We are the mainstream Iban in Sri Aman and Samarahan areas. The Iban language that spoke by us is the universal standard Iban language. (In Iban’s world, we had some dialects based on their geographical background, like in Sibu, they were Iban of Rajang and so on.)
Although I inherit the Iban race identity through my father, but I speak no Iban and know not their cultures. I am not going to classify myself as ‘Iban Celup’ like what the society love to label the persons like me. I prefer to call myself as ‘Iban by-name’! Doesn’t like sounds better?
On last Gawai eve (31st of May, 2009), like previous years, I will follow my family members to go back to our village. In Iban, we called it ‘Pulai Menuo’. During that eve, we will be rushed by my dad to be fast in keeping our luggages. We had used to it! So, we will only arrive to my ancestor’s place as late as evening!
Then, during that night, we will start our ‘feast’ by having a big reunion meal, or we call it as ‘Makai Besai’! The foods were mainly consisted of our traditional eateries, for example, stew pork, Manuk Pangsoh, nasi panggang, nasi puyuk and so on. The foods were gorgeous! (If it was prepared by my inek (grandma) and aunty, they are cooking freak!) Before we had our meal, we will have a big group Thanksgiving prayers which used to be lead by the Penghulu or Orang Tuai (elders), the prayers were said by them in Iban, which I only understood a little bit, but I enjoy singing Iban Christian songs, it’s special. After a great and loud ‘Amen, Puji Tuhan’ proclaimed by the relatives, we will start makai!
Oh, after that, we used to dance, eat and sing until the morning of 1st June (Gawai Day). But I only stay awake until 4 am… A lilttle bit of complaint here… ehem… my fellow relatives love to sing Karaoke and have fun in every festive seasons (Christmas and Gawai Day, for clearify), their singing volume was so so loud! However, it is quite fun! For me, I enjoy the tit bits! But, if they started to catch me to dance with them, I will certainly get an excuse and ‘run-away’. I don’t dare to join them in dancing!
Every year, the Ibans must have new songs for their Harvest Day, in this year the title of the songs, I had forgotten it. But i realized that this year’s trend will be danced Pocho-pocho, along with the songs! So amazed me!

Tomorrow, i will tell you guys about my 1st Of June!
